As far as adorable photos go on the Internet, nothing can quite beat the ones of a young child growing up with his or her pet. From the little Japanese boy and his French Bulldog to Russia-based Katherine and her British Shorthair cat, these pairs have such a sweet innocence about them that they immediately touch our hearts.
Today we'd like to introduce you to Stasha Becker aka @northwestmommy, the mother and photographer of her 4-year-old son Julian and their huge dog, a five-year-old Newfoundland named Max. The family lives in the Pacific Northwest, on an island just above Seattle. As Stasha states, "Our island is one big playground and there are adventures galore."
While many of Stasha's photos of her son and their dog are simple portraits taken (what looks like) in front of their white garage door, many of them also show the pair enjoying themselves outside. Whether they're peacefully watching the waves at the beach or scoping out possible intruders of their make-shift fort, the duo seem like they share a genuine love for each other, one that makes them inseparable. (Doesn't the first photo, above, look like they're sharing a secret? Love.)
